The information below is a sample course curriculum

Have you struggled during a training run and felt completely depleted the rest of the day?

Have you put in the time at the gym but not gotten the results you anticipated?

Are you constantly sick or injured?

Are you following so many “experts” and ‘influencers” online you have no idea which advise you should follow?

Nutrition is an important part of training. Whether you are a beginner athlete , a veteran or somewhere in between, your nutrition matters. It is the often overlooked component of training that can have a huge impact on your success.

Here are just a few of the many benefits of proper nutrition and hydration:

  • Provides your body with energy to prevent “hitting the wall”
  • Reduces muscle soreness the next day
  • Increases energy levels so you aren’t feeling exhausted all the time
  • Better sleep
  • Builds muscle
  • Prevents injury

Classes will meet every Thursday in March at 7:30 p.m. and will last approximately 30 minutes.

The topics covered:

  • March 2: Hydration/sweat test
  • March 9: Carbohydrates are key
  • March 16: Recovery
  • March 23: Fuel during activity
  • March 30: The Performance Plate: what should your daily nutrition look like

Classes will be conducted virtually. There will be a Facebook group for participants information will be shared and questions can be asked. Handouts will be provided. There will be homework!
